Quest Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 1, 2026

1. Who we are

Quest (“we”, “us”) is a mobile app that helps people complete daily quests, save personal memories, optionally share with a quest partner or today's community, and stay connected through invites and notifications. Quest is operated by TechSeriesX.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Quest, we may collect:

  • Account data: email address, password (hashed and stored by our auth provider), and display name/username
  • Profile data: optional avatar, interests, and notification preferences
  • Quest & memory content: quest completion records, captions, photos/videos you upload, and related history metadata
  • Social / sharing data: partner links, dare invites, community posts/comments/likes you choose to create, and report/block actions
  • Device & app data: approximate device type, app version, push notification tokens if notifications are enabled, and basic diagnostics for reliability
  • Support messages: feedback or support emails you send to us

We do not sell personal information. We do not use private memories for advertising.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Create and secure accounts
  • Provide daily quests, streaks, memories, and partner features
  • Send confirmation, password-reset, and (if enabled) push notifications
  • Show content you explicitly choose to share with a partner or community
  • Moderate reports, enforce blocks, and protect the community
  • Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests

4. Privacy defaults

  • Memories are private by default
  • Sharing with a quest partner or today's community is opt-in
  • We aim to strip EXIF / location metadata from photos before upload when technically possible
  • Dare/invite links use unguessable tokens and are not intended as public directories

5. Sharing with service providers

We use trusted processors only as needed to run the service:

  • Supabase (auth, database, file storage)
  • Resend (transactional email)
  • Expo / notification services (push when enabled)
  • Google Play / Apple App Store (distribution)

These providers process data only to provide their services and under their own privacy terms and contractual protections. We do not sell personal information.

6. Permissions

Depending on your device and choices, Quest may request access to the camera, microphone, photo library, and notifications so you can save memories and receive reminders. You can deny or revoke these permissions in your device system settings.

7. Data retention

We keep account and content data while your account is active. When you delete content or request account deletion, we remove or anonymize associated personal data within a reasonable period, except for limited records retained for security, abuse prevention, or legal obligations.

8. Your choices

  • Update profile and notification settings in-app
  • Choose whether to share memories with a partner or community
  • Block or report other users
  • Request access, correction, or deletion by emailing gamex391@gmail.com

9. Children's privacy

Quest is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. International transfers

Information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate, with appropriate safeguards.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page. For material changes, we will provide additional notice in the app or by email when appropriate.
